two-post tuesday. in honor and memory of the late and great iron lady here's a photo of her hanging out with my grandpa (who looks pretty suave in a tuxedo if you ask me).
thats your grandpa?? how cool!! how did he get to meet her? she was a stellar lady, we need more of women like her. p.s. i am jealous you can head over to zingerman's to pick up cheese for mac and cheese
i am super spoiled in the cheese department! i don't know what i'll do when steve and i leave ann arbor (realistically: probably save a ton of money on cheese). My grandpa was one of the founding members of the grand rapids economic club. Originally it started as a bunch of lawyers hanging out at lunch talking about politics, but it eventually grew into quite a large organization with some very high profile individuals who were invited to speak at annual events. My grandpa was president of the organization so he entertained lots of different diplomats over the years. I've always been sad that I was only 10 when he died because it's all so much more interesting to me now that I'm older and have a clue about the world. He always mentioned that Margaret loved her scotch!
Oh wow! May she rest in peace.
