tonight i'm flying out to san diego to play with my sister and try on bridesmaid dresses and frollick on the beach and feast and drink and have a magnificent time! i've lined up some great guest bloggers for you guys next week, so be sure to stop on by while i'm away!
the guest bloggers each answered some questions from the vanity fair proust questionnaire, which was a 19th century parlor game made popular by contemporaries of marcel proust. the questionnaire was said to reveal a person's "true nature." a couple years ago, vanity fair picked it up and used the questionnaire to interview a number of famous people. i love getting to know how other individuals think, and i think getting to know more about bloggers you read is one of the best parts of the blogging community!
my favorite question on the PQ is the very first one;
what is your idea of perfect happiness?
each of the bloggers featured next week will tell you their answer (and a few other things too)!
i'm so excited to have a week of positive thinking on this blog!
so how would YOU define perfect happiness?
here's a few of my favorite answers from vanity fair's archive:
"laughter and peace of mind." - liza minnelli
"swimming naked in the sea." - ralph fiennes
"being in love while organizing my closet." - bill mahr
"The absence of fear, and the recognition that we are all on this ship of fools together. We may in fact go to the big ship’s Art Deco bar and have a glass of champagne, toasting our foibles." - carly simon
"watching my wife and children eat." - judd apatow
"getting to the point in life where i can accept that the truth is there is no perfect happiness." - mary tyler moore
see you all when i get back!
